I am still getting my sea legs/wayfinding around resurrecting a social media practice. Given I intend to rejoin the October workshop, I’ll hope to have gotten a bit further with connecting through social media and/or other digital spaces.
For this lesson activity this time around, here’s what shared during the March 2025 workshop. (I continue to be interested in workspace culture.)
Rajkumari Neogy
I started following Rajkumari Neogy (on https://www.linkedin.com/in/rneogy/) after I took her Biology of Belonging Bootcamp back in late 2020.
Recently I reconnected with her during Culturati’s on-line January 13, 2025 “Preview of Conflict to Connection”, where Rajkumari Neogy was featured – https://youtu.be/VZaS5_UiOmU?si=P5aMj5yJ1Q3YGiuu (recording). During the Q&A, I was reminded of a friend’s pursuit of racial discrimination in his workspace.
My question to her – What happens when I am observer of a conflict – friend was racially discriminated against at work and has gone unresolved? It feels like it sits in my own body because I could be the object of same (racial discrimination). (I did write an essay, so that helped … but I realize I still have residue.)

I later shared my essay with her via a LinkedIn DM – “Peek-a-Boo and Pocket Pool” – https://www.shirleyfrivera.com/blog/peek-a-boo-and-pocket-pool
